Proma has been working in entertainment journalism since 2010, pontificating at length about TV and movies because she watches too many things and has no other marketable skills. Her byline has appeared on Mashable, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Decider, and Brown Girl Magazine, and she now writes full-time for IndieWire.

Proma has interviewed prominent entertainers including Sir Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman, Daniel Radcliffe, Karan Johar, and many more, and reviewed TV shows for every major network and streaming platform. She prides herself on making South Asian media accessible to Western audiences (without compromising on cultural context) and also moderates panels in her capacity as reporter.
